Alert Blind’s While Moving by Smart Stick with Renesas Microcontroller using TIR Sensor

Abstract

Harm caused duringdescend is the major reason of hospitalization in blind persons, because of this in a nippy declension of living or death. Electronic stick comes as a solution to improve a quality of moving freely among the blind and dim-sighted people. Electronic stick uses supersonic, infrared and laser as a solution, even it has some drawbacks. As the solution of existing system, this paper presentsan alert system using speakers with Renesas Microcontroller and TIR sensors in stick to protect blind’s and dim-sighted people while moving. As a result, alerting the unsighted and dim-sighted by detecting unexpected obstructionoccurswithin a range of 2 meters through the speaker and also make use of GSM &GPS for tracking location of blinder using android application where care taker can track the location of the blind’s.
